Meet The Dietition - Isobel Rowland
I’ve had an interest in nutrition ever since I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child. The way food and supplements can improve a person’s quality of life fascinated me and was the motivation for earning a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from the University of Kentucky and a master’s in dietetics from the University of Rhode Island.
As a registered dietitian in Northern Virginia, I love to help people reach their nutritional, weight loss, and diabetes management goals. All my clients receive personalized care that takes into consideration where they are on their journey to better health.
Having managed my chronic diabetes for more than 20 years, I’m very passionate about diabetes management and working with people who struggle with all types of chronic diseases. One key area we focus on at Rowland Nutrition is working with clients to assist them in coping with the emotional aspects of their condition. I feel this is just as critical as addressing the physical impact of a disease.
I currently work and live in NOVA where I enjoy spending time with my husband and son.
